In 2019, Blank Lounge established itself within Vietnam's tallest tower. Designed by The Lab Saigon, the space proudly showcased the nation's agricultural heritage.
In late 2024, The Lab Saigon revisited the design to inject new energy into the project. The core concept remained unchanged: to elevate Vietnamese heritage to new heights, highlighting Vietnam's unique ingredients, flavors, and creativity.
This vision is woven throughout the design. Central to the space are massive installations by local designers like LAM.Weavingspaces, drawing inspiration from the rich maritime history of Vietnam. These striking pieces, reference fishing boats, gracefully suspending across two floors.
The golden counter tables, designed by Hung Le of The Lab Saigon, subtly reference the form of a rice grain, a cornerstone of Vietnamese cuisine. These versatile counters seamlessly integrate with the existing building structure using a clamp and cleat system, offering guests a variety of seating options.
Tram Dang of The Lab Saigon crafted the elegant standing lamps, formed by stacking traditional flower vases. This unique touch adds a layer of subtle Vietnamese flair to the space.
