THE MUJI BOX

A display unit shaped by MUJI’s values of simplicity, function and interaction. Its form takes inspiration from The MUJI Book by Kenya Hara.

At first glance, the Box is plain. In use, it is precise. Designed as a movable unit, it shifts between display and storage. Two doors, one opening vertically, the other horizontally, allow it to transform into two distinct display zones.

A quiet object that works hard without drawing attention to itself. It takes one person to operate.

Everyday Items for a Thoughtful Living Exhibition

The MUJI Box made its debut in Everyday Items for a Thoughtful Living, a traveling exhibition across Vietnam. The openings of the doors created sections to showcase items At Home, At Work, and On the Road.

An additional box display system, made from cork and taking cues from urban buildings, was used to highlight the materials incorporated into the products.
